is the Associate Pastor/College Minister at First Woodway. He grew up in Ennis, TX where his father and mother reside. Michael received Christ at a young age and surrendered to vocational ministry while in high school.
Michael’s educational pursuits began with a Bachelors of Arts in Christian Studies from Howard Payne University in Brownwood, TX. He recently graduated with a Masters of Divinity with Biblical Languages from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, TX.
Michael has been actively involved in leading ministry since graduating from high school. While in college, he led his peers working with the Baptist Student Ministry while serving as the College Intern in a local church. Currently, he supervises interns for the Baylor Religion Department, is asked to speak at D-Nows, retreats, camps, and conferences, and serves on the board of directors for an international ministry.
He has been married to Abigail, his wife, since June 2005. The support and encouraging role she plays has been obvious to many. They are devoted to helping college-age students identify who they are in Christ, while empowering them to grow in that relationship with Him. Michael’s hope is that his life will be a platform for the glory and splendor of God.
Michael enjoys reading the thoughts of dead men, mountain biking, Dublin Dr. Pepper, and eating rib-eye steak.
