CHRIS WOMMACK

joined the First Woodway team in 1994 as our Associate Pastor of Music.  He has served 35 years in ministry - 12 of those in full-time music evangelism.  He has also been on staff at Fellowship Bible Church North in Dallas and at First Baptist Church in Canton, Georgia.

He received both a Bachelor's Degree in Music Theory and Master's in Educational Psychology from Baylor University.  Chris and his wife, Susan, have two beautiful children - Alexandria and Chase.

Chris is a talented and prolific songwriter... it's rumored that he actually writes new music every morning.  He has published songs with Word Music and Lifeway, and we often sing music he's written during worship services at First Woodway!

He enjoys weight lifting (bench presses 275,) home remodeling, and pointy-toed cowboy boots.  When asked which superhero or supreme court justice he most identifies with he replied , "Spiderman, because I like the world wide web."
