CHRIS SAMMONS

is our Associate Pastor of Young Married Adults and Discipleship.  He joined the staff at First Woodway in the summer of 2008 after serving 8 years with the Baptist General Convention of Texas as a Director of Baptist Student Ministries.  Chris has also served as an Associate Pastor and Youth Minister at churches in San Augustine, Mount Enterprise, and Sanger, TX.  He received his undergraduate degree from Stephen F. Austin State University and his Masters degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Chris and his wife Hollie have been married since 1994.  Hollie is a speech pathologist and wonderful mom.  They have two handsome redheaded boys named Seth and Justin.

Chris enjoys a good steak and loves to end every day with a bowl of ice cream.  He also enjoys reading, playing golf, and most sports that are worthy to be put on TV.
