is the Associate Pastor of International Missions at First Woodway. Raised in the West Texas town of Snyder, he enrolled at Baylor University and studied English and religion. Throughout his time at Baylor, Brett was actively involved in the college ministry at First Woodway and had the opportunity to travel with his church to Turkey on two separate occasions. After graduating with his degree from Baylor, he married Christina May of Pueblo, CO, and prepared to move with a team of fellow recent Baylor graduates from First Woodway to Boulder, CO. In Boulder, Brett and Christina, along with their team, established the college ministry of Cornerstone Church and quickly developed a sending model that enabled their church community to invest themselves all over Central and Southeast Asia.
In 2006, Brett enrolled at George W. Truett Theological Seminary with a Mission and World Christianity concentration, graduating in 2009 and subsequently joining the staff of First Woodway. He and Christina have the two most precious daughters in the world: Ellia (b: June 2007) and Olive (b: Dec 2009). His hope and vision is that First Woodway would exist as a sign, foretaste, and instrument of God’s in-breaking kingdom of reconciliation and that all we do would be a participation in God’s mission.
Brett loves to read, travel, play racquetball, and hike (or as we call it in Waco, "walk") with his family.
