The Mind of Christ

Led by: Butch Maddux
Wednesday Evenings @ 6 PM
Room 301-302
Format: DVD/Workbook/Discussion
Cost: $10.00 (Workbook)

“Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus…” - Philippians 2:5

Our minds and hearts are constantly being bombarded with images, ideas, and information. We seldom give much thought to it, but these influencers do have an impact on our faith journey.

Through this classic study on the mind of Christ, participants will be encouraged to intentionally join in the lifelong process of allowing God to renew our minds.

It is the goal of every believer to become more like Jesus. However, this can be a vague and somewhat obscure goal. The Mind of Christ is a study designed to provide a clear path towards Christlikeness. This 12 week study provides in-depth personal Bible study and weekly small group sessions that will encourage us to see how Jesus’ mind worked and how the Holy Spirit can teach us to think as He did. Start the New Year off with a great foundational study focused on the mind of Christ!

Radical

Led by: Ronny Higgins
Wednesday Evenings @ 6 PM
Room 311-312
Format: DVD Teaching/Discussion
Cost: $10.00 (Member Book)

What’s so RADICAL about following Jesus? When Jesus called His disciples, they left everything and followed Him. Careers. Possessions. Families. Everything that was safe and familiar. Jesus expects no less of His followers today.

In this small-group Bible study, pastor and best-selling author David Platt challenges the notion that Christians can follow Jesus without giving up our old way of life.

Redeemed by radical grace, we are called to a radical abandonment of our agendas, to a radical strategy for making disciples, and to a radical vision for being on mission.

Jesus is calling us out of comfortable Christianity to take up our cross and follow Him. To embrace Him as our richest treasure. To free the poor and reach the lost. To live for the glory of God. That’s radical…

Follow Me: A Call to Die. A Call to Live.

Led by: TBD
Wednesday Evenings @ 7:15 PM
Room 204
Format: DVD Teaching/Discussion
Cost: Free

For many Christians, following Jesus is seen as best done from a distance. We want to be disciples as long as doing so does not intrude on our lifestyles, our preferences, our comforts, and even our religion. But what if we really took the time to look Jesus in the eye and see who He truly is? What if we really listened to Jesus’ words and heard what He is truly saying?

Jesus’ invitation to follow Him was—and still is—an invitation into a relationship marked by self-denial, personal intimacy, single-minded ambition, and ultimate joy. When people truly engage with Jesus’ personal invitation to follow Him, everything changes, for He is worthy of all our trust and all our affections. This dynamic study, written and taught by Dr. David Platt, will motivate all of us to experience the grand purpose for which we have been created: to exalt the glory of God by spreading the gospel of Christ—to make disciples who are making disciples.

Men’s Fraternity is designed to bring Christian men together in a safe, comfortable setting where they can learn the true, Biblical meaning of manhood and honestly share their challenges and concerns.

In this second year curriculum, Winning at Work & Home challenges men to step forward, meet their responsibilities, and establish their manhood. This study focuses on the chief responsibilities men have as husbands, fathers, and breadwinners. Two mirrors are presented to help men evaluate how they are doing in life: the mirror of work and career, and the mirror of home and family. The goal is to better understand and successfully learn how to relate to our family and how to correctly engage in work.
