The Great Commission of Jesus in Matthew 28 is to “go and make disciples of all nations.” A disciple is a follower, a learner—one who is being shaped and molded by the influence of another. As Christians we are called to be disciples of Jesus and to make more disciples of Jesus, which goes beyond being present on Sunday mornings and believing a correct set of doctrines. We desire to equip the members of our body to become better disciples of Jesus and to be constantly making more disciples of our Lord.
Missions should flow out of a life that is wholly devoted to Jesus and is seeking to become more like Him. Missions comes out of who we are.
Growing in understanding and knowledge through studying scripture and other writings is essential for equipping ourselves missionally.
