They will share their works, writing tips, and how-to’s on publication. Whether you have a magazine article to write, a letter, your memoirs, a novel, screenplay, testimony, or book of short stories, this Kick-Off is for you.

 ** There will be eight follow-up sessions on successive Wednesday Evenings during our Discipleship Classes from 6-7:30 PM.  These sessions are FREE and will provide the how-to’s of written communication and the markets entitled, “The Why & Who.”

 This superb gathering of Kick-Off speakers sharing their journeys is an event you won’t want to miss! Look who’s coming Saturday morning from 9-12 noon:

 Pam Rosewell Moore,  from England, worked with the wonderful Dutch lady, who was incarcerated in a Nazi prison camp, Corrie ten Boom . She wrote Life Lessons from the Hiding Place: Discovering the Heart of Corrie ten Boom, The Silent Years of Corrie ten Boom,  and Better Than A Known Way. She and her husband have co-authored, When Husbands and Wives Pray Together, and she authored, Finding Your Way Through Depression. She travels in America and around the world sharing her faith.

 Verdell Davis Krisher wrote Let Me Grieve, But Not Forever, after a plane crash in Montana took the life of her husband. He and three other men were at a Focus on the Family Retreat. She continues to speak at Focus on the Family’s Wives Gathering, Praise Gathering with Bill and Gloria Gaither, and many other conferences and retreats, and seminars nationwide. She has also written Riches Stored in Secret Places, and When I Grow Old.

Paul W. Powell is the author of 47 books, and is the Dean Emeritus of Truett Theological Seminary. He served 17 years as pastor of Green Acres Baptist Church in Tyler, and served as President of the Southern Baptist Annuity Board.   Rev. Powell received Baylor’s Distinguished Alumnus Award in 1998, the Herbert H. Reynolds Award in 1999 and was selected Distinguished Alumnus of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1990.  A much sought after speaker,  his books include, Go Givers in a Go Getter World,  Why Me, Lord?, Thee Old Time Religion, Back To Bedrock, Looking at Life Through the Rear View Mirror,  Getting the Lead Out of Leadership, and A Funny Thing Happened On the Way to Retirement.
