At First Woodway, we not only want every person to come to know Jesus, but to grow as a “fully developing follower of Christ.” Discipleship is the process of spiritual growth that enables us to be like Jesus. In fact, the word “disciple” means learner, or literally, “one who follows.”
We believe that discipleship is both an intentional and relational process. For example, Jesus invited those first disciples to “come and see” him and to spend time with him. This method of discipleship allowed his followers to not just know facts about Jesus, but to know him and his teaching in a personal way.
Our desire is to provide studies that encourage us to grow in knowledge of God (Bible/Theology), intimacy with God (Discipleship Essentials), and relationally with the world (Faith in Action).
Our midweek studies are held on Wednesday evenings at 6:00 PM at First Woodway. We also offer a Wednesday night meal at 5:00 PM and children’s ministry activities during our Bible study classes. For a current list of the Midweek classes, please click here.
In addition to our Midweek Bible studies, we also offer a smaller selection of studies on Monday mornings and evenings. Please click here for a complete listing of our Weekday Bible studies.
